Miami, May 29, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Tuyo restaurant rolls out the red carpet for Father’s Day with a beautifully-crafted brunch with mouth-watering selections prepared by Chef Peter Fred, Sunday, June 16, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The menu of the day will include an eclectic blend of delicious starters such as Heirloom Tomato and Red Plum Caprese served with Stracciatella Cheese, Basil and Cashews; Croque Monsieur, made of Whipped Mortadella, Scallion Popover and Gruyere Mornay and Truffled Mac & Cheese with Herbed Breadcrumbs, Mornay & Parmesan Cheeses.
Egg dishes will feature a new take on classics such as Smoked Salmon Benedict, an English muffin served with Avocado Mousse, Poached Egg, Hollandaise and Arugula Salad and Shakshuka Chilaquiles, with Tomato and Pepper Stew, Crumbled Feta, Chickpeas and Fried Tortillas.
Entreés of the day include a Dry Aged Ribeye, with a Sunny-Side Up Egg, Smoked Chimichurri, Arugula Salad; the Tuyo Burger, combined with Shallot Marmalade, White Cheddar, Brioche Bun and French Fries; Chicken and Waffles with Spiced Waffle, General Tso’s Syrup, and Sesame Seeds and Florida Snapper with Herb-Roasted Potatoes, Sweet and Sour Peppers and Black Beans.
The fabulous menu also offers a fine assortment of desserts comprised of Chocolate Mousse Cake with Feuilletine-Peanut Butter Croquant, Banana and Espresso Beans; Guava and Cheese “Pastelito,” a Puff Pastry with Whipped Cream Cheese and Guava Jam served with Coconut Gelato and Beignets with Bourbon- Caramel Ice Cream and Popcorn Brittle.
Complementing the menu are Tuyo’s elegant ambiance, first class service and sweeping vistas of the downtown Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay, which continue to earn the restaurant raving reviews by diners.
