The District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. It will be held at the Wolfson Campus located at 300 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida in the James K. Batten Community Room (Room 2106).
During the meeting, a Public Hearing will be held pertaining to the amendment of the following Rule:
RULE NUMBER /TITLE:
Policy V-35 – Animals on Campus
RULE SUMMARY:
The amended Rule will include reference to the definition of service animals contained in the Americans with Disabilities Act and update language.
LAWS IMPLEMENTED:
Section 1001.64, Florida Statutes;
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); and
Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act of 2008 (ADAAA)
