Public Notice – Notice of Rulemaking – District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College

The District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m.  It will be held  at the Wolfson Campus located at 300 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida in the  James K. Batten Community Room (Room 2106).  During the meeting, a Public Hearing will be held pertaining to the amendment of the following Rule:

RULE NUMBER /TITLE:
I-92 – Identity Theft Prevention – Red Flags Rule

RULE SUMMARY:
The Rule will be revised to include additional language as provided in Section 114, Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 and pursuant to State of Florida Auditor General Operational Report #2016-190, May 2016, Recommendation and College Response for Finding #1 regarding the Red Flags Rule.

LAWS IMPLEMENTED:
Section 1001.64, Florida Statutes;
Section 114, Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003; and
Fair Credit Reporting Act of 1970, Federal Trade Commission

If requested within twenty-one (21) days of this Notice, a hearing will be held at the time, date and place listed below:
