Naming Ceremony for Miami Dade College’s Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation on Oct. 30

Miami, Oct. 15, 2018 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will name its renowned school of business the Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Kendall Campus. Working media is welcome.

Mike Fernandez has raised the bar of good citizenship and philanthropy in Greater Miami and across the nation. He is a steadfast supporter of education and MDC. He is also the benefactor of the very popular Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Speakers Series at the College. He currently serves as Chairman of MBF Healthcare Partners, L.P., a private investment firm. His company focuses on investing in healthcare service companies across the country. In fact, he has founded or served as a majority shareholder for 25 healthcare related companies, in addition to serving on various local and national boards.

The Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation is located at the state-of-the-art, LEED-certified Building R.
