Miami Dade College’s North Campus to Host Germany’s Consul General Annette Klein, Feb. 27

Miami, Feb. 22, 2019 — Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus, in partnership with the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami, will host a special lecture from Consul General Annette Klein followed by a unique art exhibition titled Martin Luther: Here I Stand, Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The lecture is part of MDC’s Building Global Leaders, International Speaker Series, and will address the global impact that Martin Luther and the Reformation had in precipitating a movement which reformulated basic tenets of Christian belief.

The lecture will be followed by the opening reception of the art exhibition Martin Luther: Here I Stand, which presents a comprehensive picture of the life and work of Martin Luther, the Protestant Reformation, and its cultural-historical setting.

The exhibition, which runs through March 28, comprises a collection of 30 museum-quality posters showing the global impact Martin Luther and the Reformation had in subsequent centuries, focusing on authentic places and unique sources for Luther’s life and work, and the history of the Reformation.
