Miami Dade College’s North Campus to Host Free College for a Day Sept. 30

Miami, Sept. 19, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus invites students and the community to experience Free College for a Day on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Participants will learn first-hand what it is like to be a college student by engaging in a variety of interactive workshops in various fields while interacting with current college students.

“We believe that affording everyone a taste of college courses and student life will help our community better understand how attainable a college credential really is,” said Dr. Malou C. Harrison, president of North and InterAmerican campuses.

Free classes will be offered in all disciplines and fields including criminal justice, science, technology, foreign languages, film, art, business, and many more. Participants can experience college life with MDC faculty with this free “One-Day Experience Pass.”

Participate in workshops that focus on computer skills, interviewing skills, resume writing, and how to pay for college. End the day at the resource fair, where participants will engage with student leaders and their organizations, and meet key admissions and financial aid advisors.
