Miami Dade College West Campus to Host Siman United Youth Orchestra

Miami, March 22, 2016- Miami Dade College (MDC) West Campus will host the Siman United Youth Orchestra on Tuesday, March 29, where 80 children, including students visiting from Mexico, will perform in a live concert.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to bring the musical talents of not only the children of our community, but also of those traveling to visit our country,” Dr. Roger Ramsammy, President of West Campus. 

This unique performance includes local students from the Centro De Formación Orquestal Siman and 50 students visiting from Mexico from the Community Coro Y Qrquesta México.  Together for the first time live, the students, between the ages of 6 through 18 will perform a concert that is open to the community.

Siman Orchestral Foundation is a nonprofit foundation which contributes to the musical training of children.  Through orchestral musical training, children are encouraged to socialize and learn how to play an instrument.
