Miami Dade College to Offer Free Online Workforce Development Courses during the Spring 2021 Term

Miami, Jan 6, 2021 – Continuing its efforts to assist individuals left unemployed by the pandemic and to support economic recovery, Miami Dade College (MDC) is offering new online workforce development courses during the 2021 spring term. Starting Jan. 11 and available at no cost, the courses are designed to provide skills and certifications for in-demand jobs.

Some of the courses available include AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Practitioner; AWS Solutions Architect Associate; Oracle Certified Associate (OA) Java Programmer; Certified Internet Web (CIW) JavaScript Specialist; 911 Public Safety Communicator; and a Certificate in Logistics, Transpiration, and Distribution.

These workforce development courses, and more than 150 other workforce training programs offered at MDC, are made possible with support from the MDC Foundation and a $2.3 million grant from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund for rapid credentialing programs.
