Miami Dade College to Offer Certified Financial Planner Certification Education Program in Spring 2017 Term

Miami, Sept. 28, 2016- In the Spring 2017 term that begins in January, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed School of Professional Development will offer a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Education Program to meet the needs of professionals who plan, assess, and evaluate a client’s financial future through the development of a comprehensive financial plan.

The program courses will be taught by financial service professionals who provide current information in a variety of financial planning areas.  Students successfully completing the financial planning certification program will have met the education requirement for CFP® Certification Examination administered by the CFP Board.

Greene, CFP®, chair of CFP Board’s Board of Directors.  “As student interest in financial planning as a career continues to grow, we anticipate that MDC’s program will contribute significantly to the number of qualified candidates seeking to attain the CFP® certification, the standard of excellence for competent and ethical financial planning.”

The program will be offered at the Wolfson Campus beginning in Spring 2017, and at Kendall Campus in Fall 2017.
