Miami, Nov. 13, 2018 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will illuminate its historic Freedom Tower purple in support of The Miami Foundation’s Give Miami Day on Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 15, at sunset.
Give Miami Day, the largest annual giving event in the Southeastern U.S., is an opportunity to make a philanthropic impact on the Greater Miami area by donating to local organizations and programs that make a difference, including, for example, MDC’s Foundation and Miami Book Fair.
People can give for 24 hours, beginning at 12 a.m., on Nov. 15 and ending at 12 a.m., on Nov. 16. Last year, more than 20,000 people raised more than $10.1 million for nearly 700 local nonprofits.
The Miami Foundation and partners will provide a bonus donation for every gift between $25 and $10,000 on Give Miami Day. To give and learn more, visit www.givemiamiday.org.
