Miami, Aug. 23, 2018 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will illuminate its historic Freedom Tower bright blue at sunset on Thursday, Sept. 9, as part of the U.S. Pain Foundation’s annual Light Up the Landmarks campaign for Pain Awareness Month.
The Foundation runs the campaign each September to raise awareness and address the lack of visibility that has contributed to insufficient funding, minimal research, and misunderstandings that plague more than 100 million Americans who live with chronic pain. Last year, more than 60 locations showed their support for the pain community by illuminating their venues, landmarks, and attractions in blue.
