MDC is committed to increasing voter engagement. This summer, the College and its leadership joined the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a nonpartisan, national initiative recognizing and supporting campuses as they work to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement and full student voter participation. The Challenge encourages higher education institutions to help students form the habits of active and informed citizenship, and make democratic participation a core value on their campus. More than 650 campuses, enrolling more than 7.5 million students, have joined the Challenge since its launch in summer 2016.

MDC has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of voters. Everyone on campus will be required to wear a face covering at all times. Additional safety protocols will include ensuring social distancing of at least six feet and routinely disinfecting frequently touched surfaces in accordance with public health officials and the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
