Miami Dade College to Host Information Session on New Volunteer Management Platform Welever Nov. 27, for Non-Profits, Schools, and other Community Engagement Organizations

Miami, Nov. 15, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Institute for Civic Engagement (iCED) invites existing and potential community partners to an informative session to introduce Welever, the College’s new system to recruit, track, and report volunteer activity.

The Welever platform can be accessed via a smart phone or desktop and provides amenities to make volunteer work more efficient. Features include:

  • Geolocation to identify service opportunities that can be customized for every user
  • Chatroom to enhance communication
  • User profiles or social CVs to track social impact activity
  • Creation and promotion of events to potential volunteers
  • Impact measuring and data exporting for reporting, research and evaluation purposes
  • Matching and measuring service experiences to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
  • Real-time uploading of short and long-term volunteer activities
  • Rapid connection to volunteer opportunities to assist in emergency situations
  • Dedicated technical team to meet users’ specific needs
