Miami Dade College to Host Gift of Life – MDC Week March 4 – 8

Miami, Feb. 22, 2019 – Miami Dade College (MDC) and Gift of Life Marrow Registry have partnered to launch Gift of Life – MDC Week March 4 – 8. All MDC campuses will help raise awareness and set up tables to register potential bone marrow donors to benefit patients with diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma in need of a marrow transplant.

Gift of Life – MDC Week is an effort to increase and diversify the Gift of Life Marrow Registry to improve the odds of finding a match for individuals battling blood cancers. A simple cheek swab is all it takes to get screened. The MDC community and general public ages 18 – 45 and in general good health are encouraged to participate and join the worldwide registry.
