Miami Dade College to Close at 3 p.m. today through Tuesday due to Hurricane Dorian

Miami, Aug. 30, 2019 – The safety of Miami Dade College (MDC) students and employees is always our top priority. In an abundance of caution, MDC will cancel classes and cease all operations at 3 p.m., Friday Aug. 30 and through Tuesday, Sept. 3. During this time, all special events have also been cancelled.  MDC will make announcements regarding operations Wednesday and the remainder of next week at a later time.

The MDC’s Office of Emergency Management continues to monitor Hurricane Dorian.  For the latest on the status of operations, students and employees are urged to check MDC’s homepage at www.mdc.edu, MDC Alerts, the MDC Hotline at 305-237-7500, the news media and the College’s social media pages.

For specific information about workplace schedules and special instructions for staff, please call the Employee Hotline at 305-237-7505. The college leadership requests that essential and critical employees remain in place today until all final storm preparations have been completed.
