Miami Dade College School of Engineering and Technology Students to Participate in Miami Hack Week Aug 1-8

Deadline extended and MDC students encouraged to apply free of charge and interact with tech leaders from across the globe!

Miami, July 30, 2021Miami Dade College (MDC) students will have the opportunity to meet worldwide leaders and innovators in technology while participating in Miami Hack Week, Aug. 1-8.  The weeklong event attracts top engineers, designers, and tech professionals from major tech companies including Google and Facebook to compete for a $15,000 cash prize.

The deadline to apply has been extended to July 31, at 11:59 p.m. Students can visit the following link to register – https://miamihacks.typeform.com/to/LUBOgrFE.

“MDC is fully committed to the growth of the tech ecosystem in Miami,” said Antonio Delgado, Dean of Engineering, Technology and Design at Miami Dade College.  “Miami Hack Week is a great opportunity to showcase Miami and the great talent that we have in town.”

As part of the collaboration between MDC and Miami Hack Week, all students that register for the event will be automatically accepted and have access to build from the collab space, Backend Oasis Headquarters and events. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to join a tailored session about how to get the most out of their first hackathon, building their first app and hacking the job search in computer science. The session will be hosted by Major League Hacking on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1- 4 p.m. at the Oasis at Magic City.
