Miami Dade College President Among Global Leaders to Convene at the 8th World Strategic Forum in Miami

The two-day conference, presented by MDC, will focus on the global economy, finance, innovation, energy, trade and sustainable development

Miami, March 28, 2018 – Miami Dade College (MDC) is the Presenting Partner of the 8th World Strategic Forum, which returns to Miami on April 16 and 17, under the theme “Leading an Era of Change.” The conference will gather more than 1,400 participants and 90 distinguished speakers to address the issues, opportunities and challenges facing world leaders in today’s dynamic and disruptive obal environment. MDC’s President, Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón, will speak at several key events, including a conversation with University of Miami President, Dr. Julio Frenk, regarding “bridging the education gap,” moderated by MDC alumna and Miami Herald President and Publisher, Alexandra Villoch, at 3 p.m., April 16.

The conference, which is an initiative of the International Economic Forum of the Americas, aims to create global engagement and dialogue on the issues driving political, economic and social change throughout the world. This year’s conference will discuss Blockchain & the Future of Finance; Robots, Advanced Manufacturing and the Future of Work; and The Impact of Artificial Intelligence, among many other topics.
