Miami, July 28, 2020 – Registration is ongoing for Miami Dade College’s (MDC) fall term, which begins Sept. 1, featuring in demand programs, an online catalog with nearly 1,000 class sections, stipends and scholarships, and various resources to ensure students’ success, including workshops to facilitate remote learning. Classes are filling quickly.

MDC’s eight campuses and outreach centers offer more than 300 distinct degree pathways leading to bachelor’s degrees, associate in arts and science degrees and numerous credit certificates in growing fields. Bachelor’s degree options include Supply Chain Management, Information Systems Technology, Biological Sciences; Electronics Engineering; Film, Television & Digital Production; Nursing; Physician Assistant Studies; Public Safety; Supervision and Management, and several education tracks. MDC Online, the College’s virtual component, offers nearly 1,000 class sections and 23 fully-online programs.
Students who enroll in fall can still benefit from MDC Cares if they qualify, a comprehensive program to help students in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic with stipends, expanded scholarships and new workforce training programs. One of the program’s key components, Kick-Start Your Career, will continue providing career-focused training in high-demand fields, such as Network Security, Homeland Security, Emergency Medical Technician, Digital Marketing, Human Resources, and Enterprise Cloud Computing, among others. Enrolled students also have access to MDC WORKS, the College’s next generation career studio equipped with all the latest resources to help students launch their careers, including professional development workshops, employer information sessions, networking opportunities, virtual hiring events, resume writing, interview preparation, and access to nearly 2,000 jobs and internships.

The 2020 fall term will begin Tuesday, Sept. 1 in a remote format through Sept. 27. Starting Sept. 28, if conditions allow it, courses will return to campus in a limited fashion with room capacity limits and strict social distancing guidelines.
