MDC makes the Honor Roll for recognition in all categories of evaluation

Miami, Sept. 16, 2022 Miami Dade College (MDC) has been named among the nation’s Great Colleges to Work For by ModernThink, LLC. In addition, MDC made the Honor Roll again for being recognized in all categories of evaluation. The results were released today in a special insert in the Chronicle of Higher Education, a major higher education publication.

“I am extremely grateful for this important recognition,” said MDC President Madeline Pumariega. “MDC would not be the leading institution it is today without the hard work and contributions of so many outstanding faculty, administrators and staff. Thank you for your continued dedication and support. Our employees truly embody and champion a culture of care.”

MDC was recognized in the following categories: Job Satisfaction & Support; Compensation & Benefits; Professional Development; Mission & Pride; Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness; Confidence in Senior Leadership; Faculty & Staff Well-being; Shared Governance; Faculty Experience; and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.

ModernThink is a strategic human capital consulting firm that has conducted numerous “Best Places to Work” programs, surveying hundreds of thousands of employees nationwide.

MDC is the only two-year institution in Florida to make the Great Colleges Honor Roll, a status granted to only 42 colleges each year who are highlighted most across the recognition categories.
