Miami Dade College is Transitioning to a Remote Work Environment Effective March 17

MIAMI, March 16, 2020 – Based on the escalating coronavirus pandemic outbreak and to promote social distancing as recommended by state and local authorities, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) will transition to a primarily remote work environment effective Tuesday, March 17. Certain personnel will be required to be on Campus to support the College’s operations.

MDC continues to work closely with state and local authorities and our District Board of Trustees to ensure the well-being of our students and employees, as well as the academic continuity that our students need. There are no current reports of known or suspected College employees having COVID-19. All classes remain canceled through March 29. During this time, MDC will continue its efforts to prepare for a potential transition to remote learning, which will begin on March 30. In addition, all college-related activities, athletics, travel, and events are canceled until further notice.
