Miami Dade College Invites Accounting and Tax Professionals to Sharpen Skills, Earn Credits with Upcoming Seminar

Miami, Nov. 7, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation will host a one-day tax practitioner seminar, Saturday, Dec. 8, at 8 a.m. The seminar is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

During the seminar, participants will cover an array of topics presented by professionals in the field, which include Tax Practitioner Data Breach; Estate and Gift Tax; Taxpayer Advocate Service Updates; Tax Reform Highlights for Small Businesses and Pass-Through Entities; Tax Reform Basics for Individual and Families, Collection and SB/SE Updates on Examination-Field.

The seminar meets the requirement of eight CPE credit hours in the Technical Business category, approved by the Florida DBPR, as well as eight CPE credit hours in taxation for enrolled agents. Those interested must attend the entire day to earn full credit.  The cost of the seminar is $115.00, and payment must be received by MDC within 10 days of registration in order to reserve a space.
