MIAMI, Oct. 2, 2019 – Miami Dade College (MDC) and Books & Books will present Visible You, an empowering new book sharing effective personal development tools and results-driven techniques for those who wish to live their lives consciously and passionately, for all ages – parents, teenagers and young adults alike. The book will be presented by authors Anne Louise Carricarte and Sophia Kardonski, Sunday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m.
Written from two different generational perspectives, this book inspires readers of all ages to be courageous to live their truths. The authors share personal anecdotes and tangible advice such as using your feelings as a personal “GPS,” how to find calmness with the things we cannot control and solutions for what we can. The idea for Visible You was born from the work Carricarte has done with young adults, teachers and parents, both in inner-city schools and throughout different communities. It also includes insights she compiled from her previous bestselling book, Power Wishing.
The book has been a part of teacher professional development activities and a supplement to the social emotional curriculum in selected Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS), giving Carricarte and Kardonski the opportunity to personally interact with students and bring awareness to today’s issues in a way that is proactive, approachable and relatable. Anne Louise Carricarte is an inspirational speaker, educator and entrepreneur. Her daughter, Sophia Kardonski, is a brand consultant, producer and entrepreneur.
