Miami Dade College Accepting Applications for FREE Online Capacity Building Certificate Program for Minority Businesses

Miami, Nov. 23, 2021 Miami Dade College (MDC) has partnered with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce to deliver the MBDA Capacity Building Certificate Program, which provides free, online training and opportunities for minority businesses to succeed in the marketplace. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30.

This nine-hour program was designed to assist Minority Business Enterprises in acquiring skills and knowledge to enhance business success. Business owners will gain experience developing capacities in management, finance, and technology to achieve new capabilities, higher productivity, workforce improvement, scalability, and business profitability.

Graduates of the MBDA Capacity Building Program will receive an MDC Certificate of Completion (including a digital badge); access to financial investment, business growth resources, and new contracting opportunities; free technical assistance and potential matchmaking opportunities with business growth professionals and mentors.

The MBDA Capacity Building Certificate Program is available at no cost to eligible minority-owned businesses located primarily in the State of Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since the training will be delivered online, eligibility is also extended to minority businesses located in other states. Space is limited.
