Miami, May 26, 2017- Miami Dade College’s (MDC) West Campus will host the United Way Mission United Veterans Career Day on Saturday, June 10, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The workshop will assist veterans to prepare for the workforce and navigate the job market. Valid military ID required for admission.
Veterans can meet professional recruiters, engage in mock interviews, and get one-on-one resume reviews to help them on a path to success. A panel of veterans who’ve successfully navigated into new careers will also be on hand to share tips, tools and strategies on the best approach to re-entering the civilian workforce.
Launched nearly a year ago, Mission United helps ease the transition to civilian life and address the unique needs of veterans at no cost. By connecting them to a coordinated network of community partners, veterans and their families are empowered to lead productive lives in the community. Services include job training and opportunities, affordable housing, legal resources and more.
