Miami, Jan. 18, 2018- Miami Dade College’s (MDC) West Campus will present From Earth to Infinity, an exhibition by artist Anrika Rupp, which opens at 11:30 am, Thursday, January 25. The opening ceremony will include a conversation with the artist. The exhibition will remain on display through April 12. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition was inspired by Rupp’s interest for celestial spheres, nebulas, galaxies, earth or sky landscapes, and the beginning of life represented by atoms. Rupp translates with her own creativity science and nature depictions as well as imagery to unique artworks. The exhibit includes illuminated sculptures and phermutations (photography permutations) made through a computer program created and trademarked by the artist.
From Earth to Infinity consists of three unique sculptures from her Series Galaxy in a Box; six combined phermutations; one art-table; and three wall artworks.
