Miami, June 1, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) School of Entertainment Design and Technology (SEDT) has developed a full line up of summer camps that will be offered for college credit to eligible high school students. The North Campus Creative Institute features courses in film, television, music business and graphic design.
Each of these immersive camps presents a full semester course in a four-week or six-week format, giving students the flexibility to complete at least one college-level course and still have the majority of the summer for other activities.
The Creative Institute courses include:
- History of Film
- Screenwriting I
- Television Production I
- Music Business I
- MIDI I (Audio Recording)
- Photoshop I
Through this hands-on program, students learn and complete projects in our state-of-the-art facilities, which include a recording studio, a Hollywood screening room, a film production studio, and editing suites. Students also work directly with the faculty members who mentor hundreds of students in South Florida and work within their respective fields internationally.
Any student who meets the criteria for dual enrollment may register for these courses. Sessions are set up in the morning or afternoon, so students can earn from 3 to 8 credits.
