Miami, Feb. 15, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus, in collaboration with its acclaimed School of Continuing Education and Professional Development, will host the first Open House for the new Construction Training Institute (CTI) on Thursday, February 22, 9 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
“The North Campus is pleased to present to students, faculty, staff, industry and greater community how the Construction Training Institute will meet the training needs for a skilled workforce in the field of construction through non-credit industry certifications with credit articulation,” said North Campus President Dr. Malou C. Harrison.
The open house will present the menu of stackable credentials that will be offered, such as HVAC and Carpentry, LEED, PMP and OSHA 30. Visitors will be able to learn how they can partner with MDC for workforce development and how the programs allow gaining college credit. A tour of CTI’s state-of-the-art lab will also be available for all attendees.
