~Students will compete for cash prizes and showcase their work before industry experts
Miami, Sept. 19, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) School of Entertainment Design & Technology (SEDT) will co-host two dynamic national design challenges where students collaborate on projects, network with industry experts and compete to win cash prizes.
Adobe’s IBM Creative Jam kicks off on Friday, Sept. 27, and culminates with finalists presenting their work live on-screen before judges and receive feedback from industry professionals on Monday, Sept. 30. During the Adobe Creative Jam, students will experience a lively training session in Adobe XD and learn to create an interactive mobile app prototype. Over the weekend, small teams of students will collaborate on an app prototype and produce a full user experience solving a design challenge in Adobe XD.
The Disney Creative Jam starts Friday, Oct. 18, and introduces students to a session in Adobe Premiere Rush to learn to create a simple video. Over the weekend, small teams of students will collaborate to produce an engaging video solving a storytelling challenge in Rush. Finalists will present their work to judges and industry professionals on Monday, Oct. 21. Both competitions will be live-streamed on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/adobecreativejam/
