Miami, May 10, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus will partner with Dell and Intel to host Destination Dell at 9:30 a.m., May 17, during its multi-city tour to showcase an RV that features Dell’s newest product lines powered by Intel such as latest generation PCs, Precision Workstations and mobile devices. The event is free and open to the public.
Students will be exposed to the latest industry technology trends and devices as well as participate in demonstrations of virtual reality applications and collaborative conferencing solutions, which will benefit those interested in STEAM careers. Students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) who attend the event will be entered into a drawing to win prizes from Dell.
In addition to attending Destination Dell, students will also have the opportunity to watch the Emmy award-winning video game concert, Anime Invasion. The MDC Film Scoring Orchestra will excite video game enthusiasts as the immersive video performance will feature music from such favorites as Zelda, Halo, Skyrim, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy. Maestro Alberto Bade will serve as the conductor.
Two showings will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at North Campus’ Lehman Theatre: an 11 a.m. concert for students; and a reservation-only show at 7:00 p.m., featuring a special performance by 8 Bit Wave.
