Miami, April 11, 2019 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Miami Fashion Institute (MFI), will host the next Innovators in Fashion speaker series event with Bevy Smith, Page Six TV host and SiriusXM radio host, on Friday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
Smith is the host of Sirius XM’s “Bevelations” on Radio Andy and a co-host on “Page Six TV.” She has shared her style insight on BET’s “Wendy’s Style Squad,” and for three seasons was showcased as moderator of Bravo TV’s revolutionary “Fashion Queens.” A beloved motivational speaker, brand ambassador and pop culture aficionado, Smith is a frequent guest on an array of TV shows, including “The View,” “Good Morning America,” “The Wendy Williams Show,” “The Real,” “Dr. Oz,” “CBS Morning Show” and “Access Hollywood.”
Smith is the last speaker for this semester in the ongoing series that brought renowned names in fashion to MDC. Some of the featured speakers this semester included fashion designer Berny Martin, stylist and model Rebecca Morris and fashion designers Yas Gonzalez and Merline Labissiere. Last semester, the series featured designers Mara Hoffman, Valentino Vetorri and Fashion Bomb Daily creator, Claire Sulmers. The discussions covered topics including how these renowned personalities have found success in the fashion industry, sustainability in design and production, and what they think the future holds for up and coming creatives.
