Miami, April 2, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Miami Book Fair (MBF) and Books & Books present An Evening with Giada De Laurentiis, the Emmy Award–winning star of Food Network’s Everyday Italian and Giada at Home, on Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m., at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
De Laurentiis is known and loved for her lighter, healthier take on classic Italian fare. De Laurentiis and Miami’s own culinary powerhouse and founder of Wynwood Yard Della Heiman will discuss her most personal cookbook yet, Giada’s Italy: My Recipes for La Dolce Vita. With this cookbook, De Laurentiis invites fans and home cooks to dive deeply into the flavors and stories that have inspired her life’s work.
Her achievements exceed the confines of the kitchen. De Laurentiis is also the star of Food Network’s Giada’s Holiday Handbook and Giada in Italy, a judge on Food Network Star, a contributing correspondent for NBC’s Today show, and the author of seven New York Times bestselling books. She attended the Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris and worked at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago restaurant before starting her own catering company, GDL Foods.
