MDC’s Kendall Campus to Celebrate Mexican Independence Day Sept. 15

Miami, Aug. 29, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami, will once again celebrate the Mexican Independence Day beginning at 5:30 p.m., Friday Sept. 15. The event is free and open to the public.

The beloved fiesta will commemorate the 207th anniversary of Mexico’s independence from Spain by recreating a colorful plaza and bazaar featuring live Mariachi, dances, games, crafts, traditional foods, prizes, and much more!

Highlights will include performances by Ameyal group, soccer program with former players and commentators and the traditional “Grito de Independencia” ceremony.
