MDC’s InterAmerican Campus Presents LOVE POP Exhibition by Eduardo Sanabria

Miami, Aug. 11, 2017 – After a resounding success with recent exhibitions in Caracas, Shanghai, Seoul, Milan, Chicago, New York and Miami, artist Eduardo Sanabria, better known as EDO, brings his artwork to Miami Dade College’s (MDC) InterAmerican Campus in the heart of Little Havana. His new exhibition, LOVE POP, features vibrant and expressive colors representing the great figures of contemporary pop culture and opens at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, EDO’s work had been published in Caracas’ major newspapers, and in Washington and New York, as well as Diario Las Américas in Miami. He won twice the Pedro León Zapata Award granted by El Nacional newspaper for being the best cartoonist in the Venezuelan press (2005 and 2008). In 2007, he was awarded the Gold Pen Prize as the best cartoonist in the first Graphic Humor Exhibition of the Ibero-American Arts Fair in Caracas. He has published a series of books called HUMOR-ES EDO, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, consisting of a selection of his most outstanding works released in the Venezuelan press.
