MDC’s Hialeah Campus to Host 2017 PTK Florida Region Honors Institute

Miami, July 12, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Beta Pi Theta chapter will host the 2017 Phi Theta Kappa Florida Region Honors Institute, July 21 – 23, at the Hialeah Campus. This is the first time that the Hialeah Campus chapter hosts this important event and it has been 18 years since any MDC chapter has hosted it.

The Institute will present three days of dynamic speakers, thought-provoking discussions, leadership development opportunities, and relationship building focused on Honors in Action and this year’s topic: How the World Works: Global Perspectives. The panel discussions will include Exploring the Lessons of the Holocaust, Our Lives in Service and Protecting our Florida Waters.

Registration is limited to approximately 100 members and advisors. The small group creates a unique environment where participants can broaden their world views on both a personal and chapter level.

Saturday, July 22, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sunday, July 23, 8 a.m. – noon
