MDC’s Eig-Watson School of Aviation to Host Boy Scout Aviation Day

Miami, July 7, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s acclaimed (MDC) Eig-Watson School of Aviation at the Homestead Campus will host a one-day Boy Scout Aviation Day camp starting at 9 a.m., on Monday, July 10, at Miami Executive Airport. This is the first year MDC’s School of Aviation hosts the camp.

The group of 20 boy scouts will receive a full day of instruction and training at MDC’s Airport Training Facility at Miami Executive Airport. They will learn to operate flight training devices/simulators, build their own model airplanes and then compete to test the plane’s precision of flight and landing. The scouts will also visit Wings Over Miami Air Museum. At the end of the day, they will receive Aviation Merit Badges.
