MDC Wolfson Campus to Host High School Students at Cybersecurity Center of the Americas Feb. 24

Miami, Feb. 23, 2023 – Miami Dade College‘s (MDC) School of Engineering and Technology (EnTec) will host a Cybersecurity Day for high school juniors and seniors from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24. The event aims to introduce students to the world of cybersecurity and the technology degree pathways offered at MDC. Working media is welcome.

Students from six Miami-Dade Public School Schools – Alonzo and Tracy Mourning
Senior High, Miami Beach Senior High, Barbara Goleman Senior High, Miami Sunset Senior High, Miami Lakes Educational Center and Hialeah Gardens Senior High – will attend and take their first step toward learning about the importance of cybersecurity and the various education and career paths available.

Growing the cybersecurity workforce has never been more critical, with digital technology now playing an essential role in all aspects of our daily lives. Cybersecurity offers diverse opportunities for individuals interested in a technology career, with a range of high-paying positions, such as Cyber Security Analysts, Penetration Testers, Security Architects and many more.

MDC’s Cybersecurity Center of the Americas is dedicated to educating and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
