MDC to Present its Next Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series Event with the President of Microsoft Latin America, César Cernuda March 6

Miami, Feb. 13, 2018 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will present the next installment of the popular Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series with César Cernuda, President of Microsoft Latin America and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Corporation, at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, at the Idea Center.

The Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series aims to provide students with first-hand knowledge of best business practices and leadership by inviting top, renowned executives to share their experiences and discuss new trends in their respective industries.

As President of Microsoft Latin America and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Corporation, Cernuda oversees a business that includes 35 offices in 21 countries. He is responsible for all of Microsoft’s products, services and support offerings across Latin America. Prior to his current role, Cernuda was president of Microsoft Asia Pacific.

He has also served as president of Sales, Marketing and Services for Microsoft Latin America; vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions sales and field operations; president of Microsoft Business Solutions International; and general manager for Microsoft Business Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In 2012, Cernuda was invited to the Microsoft Executive Bench, a distinct honor given to a select number of top Microsoft executives. He began his career in the banking industry, working on the launch of Banco 21. Cernuda later worked at Software AG before joining Microsoft in 1997.
