Miami, Sept. 5, 2018 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Idea Center will present the next installment of the popular Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series with Josh Leibowitz, Chief Strategy Officer of Carnival Corporation & plc, and Senior Vice President of Cunard North America, at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 27.
The Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series aims to provide students with first-hand knowledge of best business practices and leadership by inviting top, renowned executives from across the globe to share their experiences and discuss new trends and disruptions in their respective industries.
Leibowitz joined Carnival Corporation & plc in 2013 as Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing cross-brand activities to set and deliver the company’s strategy. In 2016, he was also named Senior Vice President of Cunard North America, where his additional responsibilities include leading Cunard’s North America operations to further expand the brand’s presence. Previously, Leibowitz worked for McKinsey & Co., where he served as managing partner of the Miami office and a leader in the firm’s work in big data and e-commerce. Prior to joining McKinsey, Leibowitz was a managing director at Idealab, where he ran early stage e-commerce companies. Leibowitz began his career as an entrepreneur founding retail, wholesale and e-commerce businesses.
