Miami, June 15, 2022 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Padron Campus will offer The Skillshop: Upgrade, Upskill, Update, Retool, Revamp, a series of online workshops to support academic, professional, and personal growth for students, staff, and the community at large June 20 through July 23. The workshops are free, but registration is required.
The Learning Resources Department will offer more than 90 live online workshop sessions covering diverse topics, including Business Etiquette, Financial Success and Personal Finance, Canvas, CAD Design, Food Safety, Civic Action and Democratic Engagement, Time Management, Teamwork and Collaboration, Emotional Intelligence, Basics of Trading, and Understanding Cryptocurrency, among others.
The workshop offerings include pre-recorded sessions accessible on-demand that can be viewed at any time. The program also includes essential academic focused classroom resources and career planning at MDC to further reinforce the value of pursuing higher education.
The Skillshop is presented in partnership with Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS), the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy (iCED), The Business Innovation and Technology Center, The Culinary Institute, and many more.
