Miami, March 29, 2018 – Get ready to be immersed into the world of art, design and technology at the 4th Annual D3 Art + Design Conference & Expo on April 3 – 5, presented by the School of Entertainment Design & Technology at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus and Multidisciplinary Academic Learning Lounges (MALLs).
The D3 interdisciplinary conference’s primary focus is in education, professional development and experiential learning. D3 brings together a diverse community of independent thinkers who work on projects rooted in these emergent creative industries. Advertising, motion design and visual effects, as well as other areas of design, are emphasized through lectures, portfolio reviews, and hands-on workshop demonstrations. The conference also works to develop and maintain a collaborative design community for local design students and industry professionals.

D3 kicks off the student showcase event with a live performance presented by MDC Live Arts. Enjoy a light networking reception as guests mix and mingle while viewing artwork and projects created by MDC graphic design, visual arts, fashion and technology students.

A panel of high-profile minority entertainment media & design professionals within the sports, fashion, music and tech industries will come together to discuss their current design roles, accomplishments and how to make the inaccessible accessible. The goal is to inspire youth ages 14-24 interested in working in the entertainment industry.
