MDC Kendall Campus to Host Fifth Annual Campus Sustainability Day Oct. 26

Miami – Oct. 21, 2016 – For a fifth consecutive year, Miami Dade College (MDC) will be among the more than 55 colleges and universities nationwide hosting a campus sustainability-dedicated event during the month of October. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, MDC’s Kendall Campus and Earth Ethics Institute, with support from the Student Life Department, will showcase and celebrate its Earth Literacy and sustainability-based programs, including the Global Sustainability and Earth Literacy Studies (GSELS) Learning Network student projects and activities during its annual Campus Sustainability Day.

Information tables staffed by MDC Kendall Campus students and employees at this year’s event will feature: student-designed research displays; student projects, artwork and dance performance; program offerings and activities for students, faculty and staff; on-campus student clubs; collection of unwanted personal electronics (e-waste) for recycling; Get-2-MDC commuter services program information and sign up; plant sales; and much more.
