Miami, March 3, 2016 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy Department at the Wolfson Campus continues its widely popular musical series, Jazz at Wolfson Presents, with The Wendy Pedersen/Jim Gasior Duo at noon, Wednesday, Mar. 16. All Jazz at Wolfson Presents concerts are free and open to the public.
Wendy Pedersen and Jim Gasior, who teaches at New World School of the Arts, have been enduring personalities in the South Florida music scene for decades, each widely known for their passionate commitment to a notable breadth of musical projects, both live and in the studio.
Collectively, they have performed and/or recorded with Ricky Martin, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Alejandro Sans, Smokey Robinson, Little Richard, Patti Austin, Arturo Sandoval, Benny Golson, Freddie Hubbard and countless others.
As a piano vocal duo, they demonstrate a deep respect for the Great American Songbook, fresh arrangements, and performances filled with spontaneity and joy. Their first recording, We Two, was released in the summer of 2015.
