Event part of annual I AM MDC DAY!
Miami, July 26, 2019 – Miami Dade College (MDC) alumni, students and employees can show their Shark pride during MDC Night at Marlins Park on Sept. 6, at 7:10 p.m., when the Miami Marlins take on the Kansas City Royals.
Fans can also enjoy a pregame party on the West Plaza and at the 5th Base. A portion of ticket sales will support student scholarships. This event is part of Miami Dade College’s day of giving and pride, I AM MDC Day.
I AM MDC Day celebrates Miami Dade College’s tradition of providing opportunity, changing lives through education and elevating the entire community since first opening its doors on Sept. 6, 1960. The day of giving and school pride raises critical funds needed for scholarships and programs for students.
September 6 marks the first day of classes in 1960 where 1,428 eager students walked the hallways with very high hopes. Today, the college has more than two million alumni. For more information, visit www.mdc.edu/iammdc.
