Miami Dade College has been recognized once again as a Top Producing Institution of Fulbright U.S. Scholars for the 2024-25 academic year, a prestigious distinction awarded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) for having the highest number of candidates selected for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Programs. MDC is one of only two colleges conferring associate degrees with two scholars selected for the program this year.

“At Miami Dade College, our mission is to develop engaged global citizens who will go on to make a positive impact in our community and beyond through the power of education,” said Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega. “This recognition reaffirms our commitment to student success by fostering collaboration, promoting international exchange, and building lasting connections that enrich the learning experience.”

In 2024, MDC was recognized by the ECA as a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Scholars, including MDC West Campus President Dr. Beverly Moore-Garcia, who was awarded a prestigious Fulbright International Education Administrators Award from the U.S. Department of State.
