Miami Dade College is strengthening its partnership with Florida State University and creating seamless pathways for students. MDC President Madeline Pumariega recently hosted FSU President Richard McCullough for a fireside chat and an official signing ceremony to celebrate a new articulation agreement. The agreement allows MDC students to transfer to FSU and pursue bachelor’s degrees in STEM fields and areas such as Cyber Criminology and Entrepreneurship. This agreement empowers the next generation to lead, innovate and shape Florida’s future workforce.
The MDC2FSU agreement formalizes a seamless academic transition for students earning an Associate in Arts, enabling them to transfer to FSU as juniors and pursue bachelor’s degrees. The first eight programs selected include social work, cyber criminology (both criminology and computer science), and entrepreneurship (commercial, retail, and STEM). Psychology and criminology/criminal justice, which are popular among MDC transfer students, are also included. Upon transferring, students will be supported by FSU’s Transfer Student Services and other resources to ensure a successful academic journey.
