Miami, June 11, 2020 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will illuminate its National Historic Landmark Freedom Tower red and white at sunset on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 30 and July 1, in celebration of Canada Day.
Observed on July 1, Canada Day is a national holiday marking the anniversary of Confederation in 1867, when the British North America Act was established. The act created the country of Canada with its initial four provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
