Miami Dade College and Farm Share Join County Commissioners Levine Cava and Suarez, State Senator Taddeo and School Board Member Navarro for Food Distribution May 2

Kendall Campus, from 9 a.m. until supplies run out

Miami, April 28, 2020 – As part of its efforts to continue supporting the community impacted by COVID-19, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus, in collaboration with Farm Share, will join Miami-Dade County Commissioners Daniella Levine Cava and Xavier Suarez, State Senator Annette Taddeo and School Board Member Lubby Navarro to host a free food distribution beginning at 9 a.m. and until supplies run out, on Saturday, May 2. This event is free and open to the public. MDC’s leadership will also participate.

Farm Share is a non-profit organization that distributes food to individuals and families facing hardships, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other organizations feeding the needy in Florida – free of charge. The organization’s mission is to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by recovering and distributing fresh and nutritious food to those who need it most. MDC has partnered with Farm Share for many years with events at multiple campuses. For more information, visit www.farmshare.org.

Food will be available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last. To participate, drivers must be southbound only on SW 107 Avenue and enter the Campus at 100th Street, and proceed right on Perimeter Road. Access from every other entrance will be denied.
