Miami, Feb. 26, 2020 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus will host the 2020 Career Fair for students and the community on Wednesday, March 4, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and 5 – 8 p.m. More than 100 renowned local and national companies from across Miami-Dade and Broward counties will be in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.
The 2020 Career Fair provides employers, MDC students, and the community a chance to network and discuss job and internship opportunities from a range of industries, including banking, education, hospitality, law enforcement, retail, human services, and others.
Some of the employers in attendance include the City of Miami, Florida Department of Corrections, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Miami Zoo, just to name a few. Recruiters will be seeking employees to hire for a wide range of open positions including Head Start assistant, culinary supervisor, registered nurse, zookeeper aide, banquet server, administrative assistant, warehouse workers, camp counselor, and front desk clerk, to name a few.
Everyone attending the career fair is encouraged to dress in professional business attire and bring current resumes. Last year, more than 2, 000 students and community guests participated in the event.
MDC offers College Credit Certificate and Career Technical Certificate programs that focus on preparation for immediate job entry as well as a range of degree pathways that prepare students to enter the modern workforce or pursue higher educational goals.
