Miami, Aug.  26, 2019 Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Miami Book Fair, the nation’s finest and largest literary gathering for more than three decades, returns Nov. 17 – 24 to MDC’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

Attended by more than 200,000 people over eight days, Miami Book Fair features more than 600 authors and poets from around the world with readings from new works in English, Spanish and Kreyol and panel discussions on a myriad of topics. Other opportunities highlight author readings, storytelling, and interactive experiences for children and teens, as well as panels on comics and graphic novels for fairgoers of all ages.  

Miami Book Fair highlights include:

Evenings With” – A program that spotlights well-known authors from Sunday, Nov. 17 – Friday, Nov. 22. Featured this year are Ambassador Samantha Power, Eve Ensler, George Will, Debbie Harry, and Richard Russo.

  • Diverse Programming – Capitalizing on Miami’s reputation as the gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, Miami Book Fair’s IberoAmerican Authorsand ReadCaribbean programs celebrate the robust intellectual life of our many cultures.
  • Street Fair– A rambling smorgasbord of 200 booksellers and publishers’ booths, back-to-back author presentations, music, food, and fun 22 – 24.
  • Children’s Alley – A village of pop-up children’s activities at the Street Fair tied to literacy and learning with live book characters and performances.
  • The Porch – The ultimate Street Fair community hangout, complete with a beer bar, comfy outdoor seating, and a stage for live music and performances of all kinds.
