Miami, March 27, 2018 – The Learning Resources department at Miami Dade College (MDC) will once again celebrate National Library Week with various events April 9 – 13 at all MDC campuses and its outreach center. This year’s highlights include Edible Book Contests at the Homestead and North Campuses, a Poetry Slam at the InterAmerican Campus and a Scavenger Hunt at the Wolfson Campus.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first National Library Week in 1958, which highlights the many ways libraries lead their communities through the transformative services, programs and expertise they offer.
